If you think you've been experiencing testosterone deficiency lately, there are a few definite ways for you to tell; and if you're trying to avoid losing testosterone at an unhealthy rate, there are some changes you can make to your lifestyle and diet to ensure that your hormone levels are balanced. Here are some ways to treat testosterone deficiency naturally, as well as some causes of testosterone deficiency that you'll want to consider.
Hypogonadism, or low testosterone levels, occur naturally in men as they get older, so this may not be a 'problem' for most men, unless testosterone is lost at alarming rate. After men have fathered children, been physically active for years, and have developed substantially after puberty, there is not an overwhelming need for testosterone in the body, but the hormone is still necessary for the maintenance of muscle mass and brain function. Other factors, like stress on the job or at home, lack of sleep every night, and changes in diet can all be reasons for testosterone deficiency, so practicing and maintaining healthy habits throughout life will definitely help when it comes to keep testosterone levels balanced.
Some of the signs of hypogonadism include depression, low sperm count, fatigue, and mood swings. If you have been experiencing any of these things, it could very well be a sign of testosterone deficiency. However, it may not be time to see a doctor just yet. You may be able to fix the problem by adding more protein, fiber, and healthy carbohydrates to your diet, exercising on a regular basis (at least 4 times a week), and getting at least 7 hours of sleep per night. This way, your body will renew itself naturally, and you may not have to visit the doctor. If have been making these changes for a few weeks and haven't seen any results, it may be best to consult your physician for additional or supplemental treatment options.
