Garlic has antioxidant properties that help destroy free radicals that can cause cell damage and contribute to the aging process.
Aloe Vera
When it comes to herbs for health, an herb that many of us may have sitting on our window sill, that we might not think about is aloe vera, or aloe as it is commonly called. Aloe is a great plant to keep on hand. It is often used for minor cuts, scraps and burns. Simply snip off a fleshy leaf, scoop out the inner gel and apply it to the injury once or twice a day.” Aloe is an easy plant to grow and only needs to be watered when the surface soil is dry.

There are so many other herbs for health that are worth looking into. Chamomile, when used as a tea can calm the nerves as well as the stomach. Cranberries and cranberry juice can help prevent urinary tract infections. And one of the most popular herbal remedies is Echinacea used for the treatment of the common cold. Using herbs for health purposes can be as simple as using them in your diet on a daily basis and adding them to your favorite recipes, proving that staying healthy can be delicious!
